Objective:

The role Information Technology Officer oversees the Bank’s Information Technology and e-Banking operations. This position is responsible for managing the daily functions of the various activities within the IT Department.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages and administers all software applications to include FISERV products, Image Chex, Laser Pro, Accusystems, and others. This includes managing new products, modifications to existing products, upgrades, and enhancements
  • Ensure that the bank’s Cybersecurity component applications are operational and configured as to minimize risk to the bank
  • Responsible for writing, reviewing, and maintaining policies affecting areas of operational risk as assigned and accordance with any regulatory changes. Keep updated on all Bank policies and procedures pertaining to this position
  • Ensures that all bank systems are updated, patched, and protected by antivirus and endpoint security
  • Responsible to ensure that all systems and data are backed up in-house and offsite in a timely manner
  • Works with our contracted system co-manager to ensure that bank firewalls, routers, and switches are updated and configured to ensure information security and smooth operations
  • Act as primary administrator on e-banking online applications
  • Maintains an IT equipment and computer application inventory, including license documentation and implements any upgrades or replacements.
  • Develops, implements and maintains a Disaster Recovery Plan as it relates to IT functions that ensure the bank’s systems are protected and that processing requirements are met in the event of an occurrence
  • Participates and implements Disaster Recovery testing at least annually
  • Manages multiple project efforts simultaneously, reporting status of those projects, and ensuring the projects complete as expected
  • Prepare and/or assist with IT Risk Assessments
  • Responsible for ensuring IT audit findings are tracked and resolved in a timely manner
  • Manage IT staff by recruiting, training, communicating job expectations and appraising their performance
  • Responsible for strategic planning and direction of the IT function
  • Directs communications between hardware and software suppliers and bank management for informational updates and problem resolution
  • Review and enforce written policies and procedures regarding all computer operations in the IT Department and throughout the bank
  • Works closely with the bank’s IT Security Officer with situations as it relates to IT
  • Attends any Board and Senior Management meetings as required or requested
  • Conducts quarterly IT Steering Committee meetings
  • Attends various seminars and webinars as it relates to informational and training purposes for the aspects of the job position

Working Hours:

This job requires to be available during the “core” work hours of 8:30 to 5:00 p.m.  Occasional evening and weekend work will be required as job duties demands. 

Travel:

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected for seminars and educational purposes.

Education and Experience:

  • College Degree Preferred or 5 years of Information Technology experience
  • 5 years of Supervisory Experience
  • Strong leadership skills required, including ability influence and lead both individuals and groups
  • Experience and knowledge of IT Governance, Policies, and Procedures
  • Experience in Core Banking applications such as Customer Information, Deposit, Loan, Image Storage, or Statement printing is advantageous
  • FISERV Core Banking system applications experience a strong plus
  • Proven analytical, evaluative and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Valid Driver’s License
